Cake in a Mug

As promised, I bring you "Cake in a Mug". If you read my blog entry on this recipe, then you already know how much I didn't really like the taste. But maybe it's just me. If you like the taste of biscotti, then you'll probably like this mini cake.

Ingredients

  • 2 packets hot cocoa mix
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1 egg
  • 1 drop vanilla (optional)
  • chocolate chips (optional)

Directions

  1. Find yourself a mug (any mug). Spray the inside with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Add in the 3 tablespoons of oil, the flour, and the 2 cocoa packets. Mix with a fork.
  3. Crack the egg and mix it into your batter well. Mix in the water...
  4. Now, you can add a splash of vanilla (as much as you'd like) and drop in chocolate chips if you'd like.
  5. Put your mug into the microwave for 3 minutes.
  6. Take it out (caution: its hot!). Your cake should easily come out of the mug when you flip it over and give it a tap. Serve hot!

I split my chocolate cake in half and added a generous serving of ice cream of top.
